According to the reports, two individuals, one being a twenty-one year old male and the other being a twenty-three year old male was arrested and charged with a violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(4) in the City of Bayonne over the weekend. It appears that two Bayonne police officers were just canvassing the area when they notice two young adults attempting to duck and hide in their parked car. Based on their observations, the officer’s approached the Defendants vehicle and when doing so they allege that they observed a cloud of smoke that smelled like burnt marijuana coming from inside the car. The Defendants were arrested and charged with the possession of marijuana under 50 grams in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(4).
