It appears that the Delaware State Troopers pulled over a Union City resident for an alleged traffic violation and when the officers inquired into what the three large packages on his backseat were the Defendant couldn’t explain. Based on the Defendant’s nervousness and inability to explain what was inside the three packages on his backseat, the Delaware State Troopers decided to bring in a K9 unit.
The K9 unit hit on the packages and when the officers opened the packages up, they discovered nine (9) vacuum sealed packages of marijuana. The packages were stamped with the wording of “Grand Daddy”. In total, the packages weighed in at just over (10) pounds. As a result, the Defendant was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
