Examples of Recent Success in Monmouth County Superior Court
D.S. was indicted for 3rd Degree Aggravated Assault on a police officer, 2nd Degree Attempted Disarmament of a police officer and an assortment of other offenses. While that indictment was pending, D.S. received another indictment for 3rd Degree Aggravated Assault on a police officer, Possession of Drugs and other offenses, resulting from a totally separate incident. D.S. was then involved in but another encounter with the police wherein he was again indicted for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. We were able to obtain probation for D.S. notwithstanding an initial plea offer (prior to the second or third charge even arising) of in excess of 5 years of incarceration. A similar result was reached for V.T. when he was charged with 2nd Degree Aggravated Assault resulting from catastrophic type injuries sustained by the victim. The initial plea offer was five years with 85% to be served before the client would be eligible for parole (i.e. parole ineligibility). We were able to obtain probation for V.T.
