Loud Music Complaint turns into a Physical Altercation in Jersey City, New Jersey

According to the initial reports, the Jersey City police department was called to the scene at about 4:45 am to investigate loud music coming from houses on New York Avenue. When the police responded, they were able to hear the music blaring from inside the residence. When they approached the home and confronted the individuals, they refused to turn down the music. To make matters worse, one of the individuals, a thirty-eight year old Bronx native, began flaring his arms and attempted to push the officers out of the doorway.

As a result, a tussle occurred and the individual was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. In addition, when the officers attempted to handcuff the Defendant, another individual attempted to push the officer’s arm away. Therefore, she too was arrested.
