Now here is a recent article about an individual who attempted to sell fake cocaine to an off duty Hoboken police officer.
Hoboken NJ Resident Tried to Sell Fake Cocaine to Off-Duty Cop
It appears that a Hoboken resident and his girlfriend attempted to sell fake cocaine to two off duty Hoboken Police officers. According to the reports released by the Hoboken Police Department, a twenty-nine (29) year old male approached to off-duty police officers and attempted to orchestrate a sale of cocaine. The male went as far as to tell the two officers that if they wanted more his girlfriend who was across the bar had more. Based on this encounter, it seems that the two officers called in for backup to help assist with the arrest. When backup arrived, they quickly noticed the male suspect pacing out in front of the bar. Once officers were able to place the suspect under arrest, the noticed his girlfriend attempting to walkaway quickly from a nearby garbage can. Once she was arrested, the garbage can was searched and the police uncovered two more bags of suspected cocaine. It wasn’t until the officers attempted to test the cocaine that they realized it was in fact fake.
