Joanna M. Perilli

Joanna M. Perilli, Esq., joined the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall in 2022, bringing more than 15 years of criminal law, DWI, municipal court and restraining order experience with her.

Ms. Perilli is a compassionate attorney who understands that clients who come to our law firm are often facing the most difficult and trying times in their lives.  Having a solid understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of criminal law and having the knowledge that it takes to effectively advocate for the defense and on behalf of her clients – no matter what the situation may be.  She will take the time with every client, make sure they understand the legal process, and their options.  

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, Ms. Perilli had a boutique law firm specializing in criminal law & DWI defense.  She has also helped countless people rectify issues with their license routinely appearing before both the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, as well the Office of Administrative Law.    

Born and raised in New Jersey, Ms. Perilli comes from a family with strong ties to the community.  Her Grandfather Maurice T. Perilli, was the former police commissioner and Mayor of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey.  She received a B.A. from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, graduating from the Honors Business Program, Summa Cum Laude.  Ms. Perilli continues her affiliations with Rider University, as she is an adjunct professor teaching Law, Business and Society.  She earned her J.D. from New York Law School, graduating Cum Laude, where she received a Public Interest Fellowship Scholarship working at the Brooklyn Family Court, Juvenile Division.

  • Drug Distribution (2nd Degree) & Drug Possession (3rd Degree) – accepted into Pretrial Intervention with one year supervisory term; 
  • DWI, Reckless Driving & Various Tickets in Mercer County – DWI & Reckless Dismissed with a guilty plea to Careless Driving (N.J.S.A. 39:4-97 – 2 points); 
  • N.J.S.A. 2C:40-26: Driving on Suspended for DWI in Atlantic County – Dismissed
  • N.J.S.A. 2C:40-26: Driving on Suspended License for DWI in Mercer County – accepted into Pretrial Intervention
