Natalie Marie DeDona is an experienced attorney licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York. She brings a unique and extensive background in law enforcement and criminal justice to her practice, providing clients with valuable insight into the criminal justice system from both sides of the courtroom.
Natalie’s legal practice includes criminal and municipal court matters, DWI and traffic offenses, assault, shoplifting, domestic violence and restraining order proceedings, and other areas of general practice. She is committed to providing knowledgeable, practical, and dedicated representation to each client she serves.
Before becoming an attorney, Natalie began her career in the criminal justice system as a New York City Probation Officer assigned to Queens Family Court. In that role, she conducted investigations and prepared pre-sentence investigation reports involving juvenile delinquency matters.
Natalie subsequently joined the New York City Police Department, where she served for more than 20 years as both a Police Officer and Police Sergeant. During her law-enforcement career, she conducted criminal investigations, interviewed witnesses, made arrests, handled and evaluated evidence, testified in court, and supervised police officers in the field. Her extensive experience provides her with a firsthand understanding of investigative procedures, police practices, and the challenges defendants may face throughout the criminal justice process.
While working full time as a New York City Police Officer and raising her child as a single parent, Natalie attended law school full time and earned her Juris Doctor from CUNY Law School at Queens College. She also earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, graduating with honors, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Chaminade University of Honolulu, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Natalie’s experience as an attorney, Police Sergeant, Police Officer, and Probation Officer gives her a rare perspective on the criminal justice system. She combines that experience with determination, preparation, and a strong commitment to advocacy to provide effective representation to clients facing criminal, DWI, and municipal court charges throughout New Jersey.
