Louis A. Pintaro is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with over 30 years of legal experience, including more than a decade as a prosecutor in Ocean County. Admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1993 after earning his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Pintaro began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor at the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
During his tenure as a prosecutor, Lou handled a broad spectrum of criminal cases and tried numerous jury trials in Superior Court in Toms River. His caseload included serious offenses such as sex crimes, weapons charges, narcotics offenses, domestic violence, robbery, aggravated assault, and eluding, among virtually every other category of indictable crime. His experience on the prosecution side gives him a deep understanding of how the state builds its cases—an insight he now uses to aggressively defend his clients.
Before joining the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall in 2021, Mr. Pintaro successfully ran his own criminal defense practice in Ocean County, where he built a reputation for thorough preparation, persuasive advocacy, and dedication to protecting his clients’ rights.
