John Marshall graduated from Rider University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. While at Rider, he received numerous awards and honors and was a member of the ice hockey team and golf team. Following graduation, he was employed by Ernst & Young as an Accountant and thereafter attended Law School at Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Marshall had an opportunity to work for Stark & Stark, the largest plaintiff personal injury firm in New Jersey, and this is when he decided that he wanted to pursue a career representing the victims of personal injury. Mr. Marshall graduated Seton Hall with honors and was appointed to a one year clerkship for the Honorable John P. Arnone, Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth County. John’s career in private practice began with employment as an insurance defense attorney, which he believed would be invaluable experience for a career as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney. After learning the defense perspective, John was hired to start a personal injury practice at the Law Office of Cleary Alfieri & Grasso. He continued in that practice until 2000, when he started the Law Offices of John F. Marshall. Mr. Marshall has handled literally hundreds of personal injury cases over his 15 years of practice including, but not limited to, catastrophic injury cases, products liability cases, burn cases, explosion cases, electrocution cases, and numerous other types of personal injury lawsuits. He is a member of the American College of Legal Medicine and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and in Pennsylvania.
Following graduation, Mr. Marshall developed an interest in litigation of criminal cases and ultimately served as municipal prosecutor in several Monmouth County Municipalities, including Matawan and Hazlet. Mr. Marshall started his own firm in 2000 after working in private practice for many years and has handled criminal and municipal court cases throughout New Jersey.
