Aggravated Assault Charges Following Fight in Hoboken NJ

A forty (40) year old New York man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses following an incident that occurred in 1 Republik in Hoboken, New Jersey on Sunday June 1, 2015. It is unclear at this point in time what or who started the fight but the Defendant is alleged to have thrown a drinking glass at the victim, striking him in the head. The glass apparently shattered upon impact, leaving shards of glass embedded in the victim. It is also unknown at this point in time what the extent of the injuries the victim suffered are. This is important as it will dictate what degree of aggravated assault the Defendant will be facing.

The Defendant was arrested and formally charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon in this case is the glass that he allegedly through at the victim. He is currently being held in the Hudson County Jail, which is located in Kearny, New Jersey on a $15,000 bail with a 10 % cash option. The Defendant made his first appearance yesterday via-video link at the Hudson County Central Judicial Processing Court.
